Compound brief

TB-500 (thymosin beta-4 fragment)

Evidence brief. Not treatment advice or a safety clearance. Last evidence update: September 2026.

What researchers are studying it for

Thymosin beta-4 sequesters G-actin through the LKKTETQ motif and is involved in cell migration. A vial labeled TB-500 may contain only the short fragment. This sheet cannot tell those chemicals apart without a certificate of analysis.

The fragment and the full protein are not interchangeable chemicals, even when forums use one name for both. Thymosin alpha-1 is a different 28-residue peptide and is not this chemical.

Pathway

Thymosin beta-4 binds G-actin and shifts the cell toward migration and wound-edge movement. Angiogenesis and inflammatory markers are downstream of that cell-movement biology.

If the vial is only LKKTETQ, the rest of the 43-residue protein is absent. Actin binding can remain. The rest of the protein biology should not be assumed.

Forum themes

Forum themes are unverified. They do not outrank a study, and they are not a dose.

Name collision · unverified

Forum vials, certificates, and arguments disagree on whether TB-500 means the short LKKTETQ fragment or a longer thymosin beta-4. Users still stack it with BPC-157 as if the identity were settled.

Theme summarized from public discussion. Not a quoted post, not a trial, and not a dose.
