Compound brief
Selank
Evidence brief. Not treatment advice or a safety clearance. Last evidence update: September 2026.
What researchers are studying it for
Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg is the tuftsin core, extended by Pro-Gly-Pro. It is discussed as an intranasal anxiolytic peptide. A clean receptor assignment was not extracted.
It is not a benzodiazepine and does not bind the benzodiazepine site by virtue of being called calming.
Pathway
Tuftsin is an immune tetrapeptide. The Pro-Gly-Pro tail is a Russian peptide-design motif also used on Semax. GABA tone is the proposed calming path.
Without a mapped benzodiazepine-site binding constant, the honest biology is "GABAergic discussion," not "GABA-A drug."
